ORQUESTRA LUNA at the Brazilian Academy of Letters - 09/23
In their second performance of the year, following the Vale do Café Festival in Vassouras, Orquestra Luna performed at the Brazilian Academy of Letters for the unveiling of a mural in tribute to Machado de Assis, at the invitation of the Negro Muro project.
Like Machado de Assis, all members of the Orquestra are from Morro da Providência, making their presence at the Academy especially symbolic and meaningful.
With a repertoire featuring iconic Brazilian composers, from Cartola to Luiz Gonzaga, it was a beautiful performance, the result of many hours of work and rehearsal by our young musicians, and the dedication of our educators Glaucia Maciel and Juliane Souza.
