The “Wash Your Hands” project, created by Alessandra and Mauricio Hora, one of the founders of Casa Amarela. Alessandra Roque gives gardening workshops at Casa and also creates environmental and agroforestry projects aimed at the population of Providência.

Although access to water is a right under the Constitution, its supply, even in the region, is extremely deficient. In addition, the arrival of water at the favela is intermittent. They are installing sinks in all areas of Morro da Providência and surroundings such as Central do Brasil and other strategic circulation routes, with a focus on encouraging people to wash their hands and provide access to a product suitable for everyone during this crisis.
